Jane became a selected member of the Leicester Society of Artists (LSA) in September 2011. The LSA exhibit twice a year at New Walk Musuem, Leicester. This portrait above is of 'Oscar'. It is an oil painting on canvas and is 20" x 20" in dimension.

Jane French is a contemporary artist who specialises in portraits. She is based in Leicester and graduated from Newcastle University with a BA (Honours) degree in Fine Art. She has also completed an MA in Graphic Design at De Montfort University.

She has worked both as a full-time illustrator and, more recently, as a graphic designer. However, she has always had a fascination with faces and personalities and is now accepting commissions for portraits in oil, pencil and charcoal.
